Before plumping for the Mercedes, I was also looking at buying a Jaguar X Type but decided that as I wanted a reliable car, I should give the Jag a wide birth. How wrong you can be!

Had no problems with the car and it was a pleasure to drive but two criticisms have to be made - the scarcity of dealers (travelling 40km each way for a service is not viable) and also the navigationsystem does not use TMC or other sorts of dynamic routing....
