In September 2001 BMW upgraded their 320d with a new common rail system and a motor now producing 150 HP. Unfortunately for me, the Turbo self destructed within 3 months. After 10 days BMW were finally able to supply a new part which wasn’t defective.

The fly in the ointment with this car was, however, the telephone - firstly the Siemens cordless device and then the Motorola Apollo; both were absolutely diabolical. You’d be better off with two bean cans and a piece of string.....
